About Us
Our Purpose
The primary purpose of this school is to provide the community with an educational organization that meets the challenging developmental needs of preschool children. We endeavor to encourage the intellectual, physical, social, creative and emotional growth of children. Our purpose is to also advance the early development of societal and parental values, and to support the outgrowth of these values.
Meeting the Challenge
We achieve the goals of our purpose by presenting a multi-faceted program that provides each child with the sound educational foundation that is required to succeed and progress in our present day elementary educational system. We present the children in our care with many diverse challenges; however attainable challenges that develop the confidence that is critical for future success in our competitive society.
Our fun filled program invites the children to participate in festivities of other cultures, thereby developing an early awareness of a larger world. We further introduce them to community helpers in their own social environment. People from our local police department, fire department and from health services areas visit and provide our children with exciting and engaging instructional information.
We further invite parents in our community to participate in parenting workshops, presented by skilled educators. Our newsletter highlighting the creative means we use to enhance the educational development of our children, is yet another source of education for parents. These efforts assist us in becoming partners with parents to create a healthy environment in which our children can flourish and grow.
Our Philosophy
We believe that a child's growth is nourished in a warm, safe, positive environment. Our ultimate goal is to instill in the children in our care, a love for learning, a positive self image and a deep sense of self confidence.
Meeting the goals of our Philosophy
It is our policy to hire teachers for their enthusiasm, their positive mannerisms and their creativity with educational materials. Our staff is First Aid and CPR certified. Our teachers jointly develop and implement a program that engage the children in a "hands on" learning experience. In many instances, particularly when learning about other cultures, and historical events, drama is used. This facilitates increasing, both knowledge and vocabulary, and also gives us an opportunity to enhance self confidence. In these instances parents are invited to join us for a presentation of the dramatized event. Art and Music are a valued part of the learning experience, whether the lesson is on Science, Mathematical Concepts, or communication skills.
Our Policy
It is our policy to keep our rates affordable for the majority of families in our community.
We reduce our tuition to families with more than one eligible preschool child.
We sponsor parenting workshops, conducted by professional educators, to assist parents in meeting the challenges of raising their children in our complex society.
To keep our staff abreast of new innovative ways of presenting educational material to the children, we provide the staff with time off and pay their tuition to educational workshops.
We dedicate ourselves to community awareness, and annually hold food drives and hop-a-thons, for less fortunate people.
